New Client Project In Development Could Hurt The Network

Someone has created a new "client" they're calling "SonoSano," that basically just leeches off of the network and tries to turn it into Spotify. If there's any way this client could be banned from the network, it probably should be. It will lead to people not sharing, only leeching, and could bring down the entire network if it gets too popular. I just thought this should be brought to the attention of whoever reads this forum. PLEASE do NOT use this, it is a TERRIBLE idea. If you look at the comments on the Reddit post, a bunch of Soulseek users have urged him not to continue the project. There's also a discord link in the comments, where the developer is actively continuing with it despite the outcry from the community. I hope this was helpful and useful, and I hope something can be done to ban this client, since it will never have the full-features of other alternate clients (which is why they are tolerated.)

Ya, that does sound like a bad idea, but i do hope that if a way to ban it is found, it does not kill off some of the alternative 'legit' clients that some of us use. Not to 'diss' the work on the 'real' one, but some of us do like the interfaces in some of the others so we go that route ( and we do still contribute back to the network of course )
