Problems with Mac OS Ventura?

Since upgrading to Ventura, I am unable to swap shared drives. I share 3 total but only 2 at any one time. Today, for the first time since upgrading, I unshared one drive in order to share another, but the drive was not added to the shared window. So I unshared the second drive. Now I have no shared drives and no ability to add one or two.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I tried just sharing one folder rather than a whole external HD. Same results: Nothing added to SS shared. I do not want to run SS and not have something shared.

I solved the problem with a hatchet approach. Went into Safe Mode, revealed all invisible files, and deleted a lot. Reinstalled SS app. Was able to attached an external HD to share.

What I learned is I likely did not have to do all that, which trashed my in progress downloads, chat history, list members, EVERYTHING!!! While in safe mode I think I discovered the problem and if I had noticed it before I trashed everything I would have been okay. In Ventura the dialogue window to share a file/drive disappears behind the SS app browser window. If you don't notice that, and try to share again, won't work. But, if you minimize the browser window and find the original share dialogue, you should be okay.

That's my theory.

Cheers.  This is exactly the solution I was looking for.  Similar situation as well with the one minor difference.  I did not enter safe mode before dumping files as I had backed up to a separate HD prior to Ventura update.   As soon as I minimized the SS window there the lil bugger was.  Currently uploading!!! YAY

Wow. I had been pulling my hair out, messing with my router config, reconfiguring all my ports, etc etc. Finally found this solution and there it is. Thank you for sharing Bren!
