RETRY MANUALLY TO DOWNLOAD???????!?!?!?!?!?!!!!

Alright... I am pretty fed-up with this problem that seemingly has no fix. Someone tell me what Is going on, and how to fix it before I pull the rest of my hair out.
I am using SoulseekQT 2016.4.24 (this also happens exactly the same in 2017 build) on Mac OSX El Capitan v10.11.3. (I can't use the newest build of Soulseek because I am not on a higher version of OSX)
So.... to give some background, I have my ports forwarded, they are open, all my settings are fine from what I can see and usually I don't have a single problem... except for this which keeps occurring, seemingly right when I need it not to.
I have been downloading from a user (this happens with another user I download from also) who has very fast download speeds for me 2500+ typically when downloading) we have an agreement and he is totally good with me downloading as much as I want whenever I want and he is always online with typically no problems or restrictions on his end for me. I have a huge queue with him and here we reach the problem... I will be able to just fine download around 5 or 6 albums, quickly with no problems. And then it just STOPS and doesn't move on to the next album in the queue. I don't get queued in his list, and this has started happening no matter what... yet I can right click and press Retry and it will immediatley start downloading again... and again after between 4-10 (no exact number) it will stop again... then I manually press retry and it starts downloading again, repeat ad nauseum. I can close and reopen the client, and it will start downloading again no problems (essentially like I am pressing manually repeat) I can restart my computer and no difference is made.
Here is the real kicker... I was able to download about hundreds of albums, thousands and thousands of files for about a week or so, before this started happening, and now it happens no matter what. This exact problem happens with another user (whom i have much slower download speeds with) except that started right from the beginning of me downloading from him ever, would download about 2 albums worth of songs, stops, press retry and keeps download just fine, repeats. But with this user, my gigantic queues would work entirely fine and everything would complete... Now it happens no matter what, every time I am downloading from him. It will even happen mid downloading songs sometimes. Until retry manually and everything goes back to downloading at the at least 1000kb.
What the f3ckkkkkk is happening????????????????????????? How can I possibly fix this. I need this fixed, I will never be able to finish downloading stuff from him that I need if I can't make this stop happening. Again, the real kicker seems to be this randomly started happening out of the blue with this guy and didnt start at the beginning of my downloads with him.
Do you want to know my absolutely insane work around? I had to pay 8$ for this program made by a company called Auto Mouse Click... and when Im not using my computer, like in the night time, I have with it made an automation that with a time delay of about 3 minutes, it will right click on his username and then click retry... and then I repeat that about 400 times so that it will be done downloading my particular queue by the morning. It is essentially impossible to do this as im using my computer since i have to have the soulseek window open or else the automation with move and right click on something like my web browser as im using it. This manually retrying to finish my queue has cost me an insane amount of time, and there HAS to be a fix for this because why would it work fine for a while, and now everytime no matter what I try it will not.
This is an absurd problem please don't give me any suggestions for something I have outlined in this post, I wanted to try and be as descriptive as I can. Help me, help me, help me help me... stop... manually retry, help me, help me, help me, help me... stop :(

I too am having the same issue but the downloads also slow to a crawl and abort and there seem to have been more than a few threads about this issue.
