No Password

I last logged in on my sqeptyk account several years ago and I'm pretty sure I never set a password. After getting a new PC, I can no longer log into this account as a password is now required.  What steps should I take to rectify this situation?

I thought passwords were required on all new accounts since the beginning?  Or at least i dont remember a time when they were not.

I never needed one until the fresh installation on this PC that I purchased a little over a month ago.  Before that, I always left it blank since no one uses my PC but me.
