SoulseekQT troubles on Mac

During last days, the software works very slowly, sometimes it starts 2 or 3 dloads from the same user (they end in red, "aborted").

I have a very fast connection, it seems strange to me seeing downloads at a 2 or 3kbps...

I already updated to the latest version, but it's the same.
My computer is a mid2011 iMac 21,5.

have you tried completely uninstalling soulseek (configuration files and all — you can use an utility like AppCleaner for that: https://freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/) and reinstalling it from scratch?

That’s what I would do first if I had your same issues.

Be careful, you might lose your settings and stuff like wish list and saved users in the process — I think they’re all stored locally. I would make screenshots of everything I might want to restore later.

Hi, I had pretty much the same problem on my Mac (SoulseekQt build 2017.2.25 Mac OS High Sierra) with a fast fibre connection (noit that i think that has anything to do with it) and it drove me nuts for a couple of days. Being quite new to sseek I thought I was doing something wrong.
I did an uninstall and reinstall and it did the trick, been stable since ... no settings lost either. Hope it works for you

I resolved in another way: I discovered that I had the "limit download speed to n k" checked;
unchecking it made the software work correctly again.
