searching for "village people" band gets no results

since long time ago and now in slsk qt also no results.
Using some wildcards like  *vi people  gets results, seems like some internal filters are blocking village people words

Interesting one. Search either village or people and wait patiently for a huge list of results, and hope Soulseek does not crash. Then filter people or village as appropriate and that should get you the results. Don't ask me why. I have no idea.

There are a number of artists that are filtered by SoulSeek's Search Engine. Nir wouldn't disclose any details, but apparently it has something to do with the DMCA takedown notices and the whole RIAA shebang. Still, there are ways to circumvent that. Happens with some artists, you can't e.g. search for Chicane Saltwater. Not sure if there is any rhyme or reason to the filters or are the releases/artists completely random…
