Hi
I forwaded my ports and it says that the ports are open
But I can't seem to download and search things in Soulseek
Am I being blocked by the ISP? If so, what should I do?
If not, how can I fix it?
Thanks
Ran

Hi Ran,
It's hard to say for sure, but if you're not getting any search results then yeah, there's a good chance your ISP is interfering with Soulseek traffic. Even if your ports are completely blocked, you should still be able to connect to other users with open ports and receive search results from them/transfer files/etc. Do you have a friend who uses the same ISP that can try to duplicate the problem? You can also try connecting through a VPN, although I don't know of any one in particular that works well with Soulseek.

Thank you
As the time for writing this, my search is back on track and working properly.
The thing is that each time I try to download, it won't download faster than 40 Kbps, and eventually the download is aborted.
What should I do?
BTW - I have Windows 7. I use SoulseekQT
Thank you

I would check the bottom of the Downloads tab to see that there's no active speed limit. Beyond that, file transfer on SoulseekQt is a pretty straightforward affair... If it's slow it has something to do with your connection, the other user, or something in between.
