aborting files/downloads

I am using the SoulseekQt build 2024.2.1; on a Windows 11 OS. I have been using Soulseek for about 3 or 4 months now with few problems but recently all downloads now abort and when I try to reset my download folder the app will not save the new location and I have to reset the download download folder every time it closes. Any suggestions?
