SoulseekQt has been crashing for months.  When I search, the cursor beachballs and usually never recovers. For a while, I had been able to download maybe one folder until crash, but after the most recent update to MacOS Monterey 12.6.4,  SoulseekQt beachballs immediately after search and never recovers.  Sometimes folders are still downloaded in the background.  I was able to get by with a folder here or there, but now I can't use it at all!  Recently tried the latest mac build, but doesn't help

This is happening to you with build 2023.1.15? It should show the version in the title bar.

Hi Nir, thanks for the lightning quick response.  Yes, but crash behaves slightly different.  After search, SoulseekQt freezes and won't respond to any clicks.  I can't click download or change search tab to chat tab.  Can't double click files to download.  Only thing I can do is grab the window to move it.  I can't quit and I have to force quit in Finder.  I should add that sometimes after it crashes, I can't get it to open back up until after restart

Can you see if you can get a stack trace when the client is frozen using these instructions?

If it works send me two or three pastes in private or post it here.

Thanks, Nir

Thanks Nir.  I sent a few traces via email

This might not be it, but I'm seeing a very similar stack trace to the one reported here in all three snapshots:

When it freezes, can you use activity monitor to see if configd is maxing out your CPU?

I'd also update to Monterey 12.6.5 if you haven't already, just in case.

If configd is the culprit, lots of people are saying disabling internet sharing solves the problem.
