Is there a way to report users in chat rooms?

Hi,

First of all, I know that this is not a technical issue, but I couldn't find another place to talk about this.

Problem is, I frequent a room in which there are some people that are openly racist and nazi. There are logs and such.

This is extremely uncomfortable, to say the least, and potentially criminal.

So I'm asking if there is a way to report those people. Maybe even to authorities.

i know what you mean. soulseek chats are uncomfortable. if it makes you feel any better they are probably 99.99% trolls. i wouldn't take it seriously.

What about nazis that go further. That when triggered use DoS attacks on my IP?

I assume there must be some rules for moderating soulseek. But I don't really know, this is why I'm asking here. I came for information, not for debate with nazis about whether nazis should be reported.

If there aren't any just tell me "no there is no moderation at all on soulseek as it is impossible to enforce, it is a pirate protocol after all" or something like that. If not, please refrain from answering besides the question.

If you are getting DoSed it's because you pissed off the wrong person. Living the consequences of pissing off the wrong person is something we all have experienced in our lives. Next time you'll be smarter than that.

I don't care if you're fine with jungle law. If someone cuts your leg off, you can apply that philosophy then if you want. But I don't agree with that "anything goes" mentality. Most people don't.

So again, I didn't ask you the time of the day, I'm asking if there is a way to report people. If you don't know the answer to this simple question, move along.

There's no way of reporting people other than complaining about them here, but reporting them would do nothing. Best thing the admins can do is ban their IP addresses, and since they are not idiots, they know how to change them and connect again.

(It looks like you haven't learnt your lesson, btw…)
