Soulseek hangs trying to browse user's files

I've been having a problem where Soulseek apparently hangs trying to browse another user's files and doesn't respond within a reasonable time to pressing the "Cancel" button. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a workaround or fix for it? Thanks.
