If anyone could help me out here it would be greatly appreciated.

Basically I used Soulseek for about a month or two before having the socket error during login. I did the port forwarding, and got to where "Check Ports" gives Port: 55156/tcp open. Your router and Soulseek client is configured correctly.

Restarting the client doesn't seem to help.

I have "Use UPnP port mapping", "Use NAT-PMP port mapping', and "Enable Listening Ports" checked.

Here's the classic error message I get whenever I try logging in: Login failed. Reported failure reason: socket error. Please change your login settings in the Options tab and try reconnecting.

Is there a way to delete my account and reinstall with new login info?

Thanks, Ryan

I'm using SoulseekQt build 2018.11.16 on Windows 10 by the way.

Had the same issue. So beside listenng port I forwarded the server port also (you can find it in options just like the listening port) and made an exception for it in firewall. Now everything is fine.
