My place in the QUEUE is going up, not down? Not moving for days, weeks?

I have been waiting to DL a number of files from this one user for almost a week. I started in line at about 1200. I got to 1000, but it went back up to almost 1100. Then over a few days it started to go down.

The lowest I got was 230. It seems to have now frozen there for almost 48 hours. I added more files to download and they were at 1136, 1137, etc.

I found the first set of files I wanted from someone else and went to delete the downloads. Now my remaining files are at 1142,1143, etc. How is this possible? shouldn't they have at least gone down as many as I deleted from the queue?

(Prior to deleting the first few files) I donated to Soulseek, and my position in the queue did not change at all. How can I be 'in line' and lose positions? How can the line freeze for days at a time? I have tried downloading from a number of users where I'll be in the queue for weeks, and my position never changes. What is going on?

Thanks

Jon

I have been experiencing the same phenomenon with a particular user. What I noticed about this particular user is that he has set his upload slots to zero which means no one can ever download anything from him. Apparently there is a hack enabling unscrupulous users to set their upload slots to zero.  I must say this person has found a fairly clever way to avoid sharing files and avoid detection for it. I also donated to Soulseek so why my files go up and down in the queue is anybody's guess.

It gets weirder! I made it to the 700's and then he logged off for about 4-5 days. He came on this morning and #8 out of 9 files started downloading? How did it jump past the first 8, which haven't moved? It's also taking over 10 hours to download. S

Friday 7/30 I get home at 9pm. The first file was at 27, the last was around 110. It's now 12:10AM. I donated to Soulseek, why does my place 'in line' move backwards? No-one has an answer?

Night before last, I had 2 files down to #7 and #8 (after 5 days down from 800). Yesterday I got home from work and they both jumped back up to 347 and 541. Same guy, new files. Same problems, this is ridiculous. I care more about finding out why this is happening than getting the files.

My suggestion 2 u folks, block that user and search an other one having the same files. if ther is none then set it 2 the wishlist

easiest way 2 solve that kind of problems
