Hi Dario,

Been a while since last email.

I have tried to make progress by downgrading to esp core to 2.3, as I am guessing around that version when you put the project together, and done a fresh install of Arduino IDE using libraries from the folder you pointed me to but still will not compile, do you have any time to fix problems?

Best wishes,

Keith

Sincerly in this moment when i've time i want to play with SST2 that is in my lab desk... (same function plus touchscreen with nextion and new layout)....
If you want to help or develop feel free to fork my repository, now i update it, in this moment there's only temp and hum shown on screen with graphic layout and i'm working on setpoint and crono function

What is your understanding of the term autolearn, is it the same as what I would call optimum start where an algorithm self learns from heating losses/gains/outside/inside temperatures to achieve the economic start for building occupancy?

Yes this will be the optimum result.....

I do not see any benefit of a separate display, that era is gone now, everyone walks around with a smartphone display that seems to me is the way to go.

Yes but you can look a moment your display and always your sons can take a look of temperature, topics coming from others node, etc... It's cool and useful... Well I program my sst from Web and not with encoder etc......
I agree with your thought about smartphone, but a node with a display is simply cool :)

So if I am correct your new SST2 will be a node which can be in a network of nodes in your home automation with the nextion display at the centre for GUI?

That's also sst1, there are topics in display...

At this point in time your SST1 is ideal for me, as I understand it can be used with just a smartphone web browser to change time schedules and heating thermostat setpoint when the issues are fixed?

Sincerely in this moment no idea, hope to find time to fix it

I only have minimal experience of Arduino, but with your guidance, if you could suggest where the problems may be I could try to fix them?

Yes, if I can spend some time on it I do'it but don't really know if my know how is sufficient

Yes I'm a little programmer and original code is coming from Mr. Flavio....

So you adapted the code for the webserver display for GUI?

Dario Cdj

At this moment my working sst has a Web interface that control everything....

Keith Davies

Is it possible that I could download the working code?

Dario Cdj

Well the problem is not the code, it's the compatibility with libraries. I've a million versions of code, but require lots of time to make it compile....

I have the time, just let me know what is needed and I will try to find the problems.

The first error on compiling is connection_dynamic.h  line 25 startwebserver was not declared in this scope

Yes something concerning asyncwebserver.... That's the problem

Hello,
I’ve read only last question about your topic.
In the moment that I’ve left SST development, it compile and work properly.
I can suggest you to start with right library version, you can found all in my repo the right docs, and a lot of the required library.

Flavio

Hi Flavio,

Thanks for your input.

How do I know which is the right  library version that will compile with the code, is there a way?

Keith

Hi Dario, but you stated yesterday that like me you also could not get the code to compile with those libraries, so you are confusing me now.

No, code in my repository doesn't compile, probably code in main repository compile!
