🎄圣诞季🎄是美国以至整个西方最长和最隆重的节假日。很高兴在这个季节跟大家一起学习圣诞的传统、回顾圣诞的历史——圣经当中所记载两千多年前耶稣的诞生。

Dear Scholars,

We hope your Thanksgiving Holiday was enjoyable!  After cancelling the English Corner last Thursday because it fell on the holiday, we will resume the English Corner this week and continue every Thursday until December 21 and then begin again early in the new year.  

🎄The Christmas Season🎄 is the longest most important holiday season in the Western world, although there are actually only two official holiday dates during this time, December 25 and January 1.  During this time all schools and universities are on winter break and many workers are given time off by their employers or take personal vacation time off during some days during this period. We will talk about the Christmas traditions during this season at our meetings and spend time to read the story from the Bible about the coming of Jesus over 2,000 years ago.  It is this event that is the main source of the Christmas holiday.
