圣诞节就要到了，预祝大家节日快乐！在耶稣降生之际，天使向牧羊人宣告：“在至高之处荣耀归与神，在地上平安归与他所喜悦的人”。两千年前人们需要的是平安。现今这个高科技发展迅速的世代里，人们想得到是知识和能力，而真正缺乏的却是喜乐和平安。

本月的杰出学者讲座在这个周三晚（12/13），我们很荣幸邀请到硅谷杰出华人工程师洪海文长老通过他个人的经历和圣经的智慧，与大家分享在高度竞争的环境里，如何找到平衡，享受平安和喜乐。洪长老目前任全球最大的半导体设备供应商Applied Material研发主管，带领团队开发新产品，取得超过30项专利。请大家不要错过这次难得的机会！

洪海文長老：

出生於中國北京，在香港長大，其後來美國威斯康辛（Wisconsin）就讀電機工程，并取得电子工程碩士，工商管理碩士，目前在全球最大的半導體設備供應商Applied Material任研發主管，帶領團隊開發新產品，取得超过30项專利。在经历了一次面临死亡的大病以後，深感神的慈愛與眷顧，也體會到人生苦短，因此2012年蒙神的呼召，接受聖荷西中華歸主教會長老的職分，帶領眾同工一起牧養教會。工作和事奉之余洪長老也在Western Seminary神學院就讀，繼續接受裝備。洪長老和妻子陳蔚共育一女一子。

The Christmas season is here! Wish you all happy holidays! When Jesus was born more than two thousand years ago, the angels proclaimed to the shepherds, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." Two thousand years later, in Silicon Valley, with all the knowledge and technology that we have gained, what we need most is still peace and joy. 

For this month's Distinguished speaker (12/13), we are honored to have Elder Raymond Hung as our speaker. He will share with us, through his personal experience, on "Finding Peace and Happiness in a Highly Competitive Environment."
