Hello All~
So I have lots to tell you all! Sorry if this gets a little lengthy.
Starting August 10th I will be working both jobs with the church and
the school district so I want you to know my hours and my information
to reach me!
My Information:
email - je...@sothftc.org (this will come through to my phone so I
will see emails all the time!)
phone - (719)651-5860 (this is my cell and the best way to reach me)
office hours at Shepherd - Mon to Thurs 1:30 - 4pm
teaching hours - this will vary from day to day and I have two
different weeks but the general idea is that I will be teaching from
9am - 1pm everyday. So coffee before school will always work or a
late lunch or dinner is always great to meet up as well.
Super Stars:
I need to know about this by July 30th! We still need 3 - 7 more
players to make this a go.
Film on the Rocks:
I need to know this by July 30th as well! Jill and I will be getting
tickets on Friday evening. Right now I have about 9 of us going,
yippee!
Camping:
This will be over Labor Day weekend. I will send out details in a
couple of weeks.
Vote for regular meeting time:
I still need you all to vote for a day and time for a twice a month
gathering. I want to kick this off in September.
Coffee or Lunch:
I have met with many of you for lunch or coffee and it has been
wonderful. I would still like to get together with those of you that
I haven't met up with yet. If you have already met up with me and
want to have coffee or lunch again that would be great also! Let me
know.
Future Items to Be Thinking About:
Saturday night service - what would you want a Saturday night service
to look like? I have talked with many of you about this and would
love to continue to get input. I will be visiting other churches for
ideas and would love if anyone else would like to join me.
Book Trust - we have been asked to do this again this year. I would
like to start collecting books in September and am wondering who would
like to help with this service project.
Christmas Tree and Chrismons - we have been asked to help decorate the
tree this year. I said we could do that. It would be a few hours on
a Saturday or Sunday. We can make a potluck of it. We have also been
asked to help make Chrismons for the tree. They are a unique
decoration that are beautiful. I said I would check with all of you
first. I will bring examples and information to our next couple of
meetings but we need to decide by the end of August if this is
something we want to help out with at the church.
I hope you are all doing well and can't wait to see most of you on
August 3rd at Film on the Rocks.
