Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all staying cool in this summer heat! Thought I'd get the
ball rolling on figuring out a new camping date. Is there a date in
August that would work for most of you? I had originally suggested Aug
28th and 29th to Jenny, but that Sunday will be the official
installation for her and Amy Toomey at church. Other weekends in
August could be iffy for us, but we should pick something that works
best for the majority!
Regardless of whether camping works out, we look forward to spending
time with you all later this summer. I recently accepted a
postdoctoral position at the University of Minnesota, so John and I
will be moving to the Twin Cities at the end of September. Life will
be a bit hectic leading up to my September 15 defense, but we hope to
make plenty of time to see all the people and places we will miss when
we move. We have so loved being a part of SOTH and this group, and it
will be very hard to leave everyone. Thanks so much for your
friendship, love, and support, and hope to see you all soon!

If the August 28th-29th date is the best that's fine. I will just go

Hi All,
The month of August sure is a busy one! The only day I'd be available
to go camping is the late afternoon/evening of the 14th (after
Superstars wraps up).
Wish I could be more available, but work and family commitments have
been scheduled for quite awhile now. Hope it works out for a group to
go!
Kelley, congrats on your acceptance of the postdoc position in
Minnesota. We will surely miss you and John but I wish you luck in
your upcoming transition and adventure. I think some sort of official
celebration/well-wishes party is in order!

Looks like August is pretty full for everyone so after talking to a
few of you we are going to move the date to Labor Day weekend which is
Sept 3rd - 5th. We have options that weekend for one, two, or three
nights. I think we should stick with Chambers Lake. We can decide on
which nights and how many nights when it gets closer to time as well
as a menu and whether we need to get reservations. I don't want to
change the date again so that I can put it in the newsletter and
Sunday bulletins so we can hopefully get some newbies. Please post
and let me know if you think you can make it for part or all of that
weekend. I will send out an email as well and reminders as we get
closer to time.

I would like to be able to make the camping trip, but hilary is due
week after that. I will have to pass this time. It sounds like fun
though.
