usingnetflix on AppleTV 4 and having issues lately with some titles not loading. After selecting the movie or episode, it will just stay on the loading loop. Not a network issue since other titles will load and stream fine. Most titles work fine, but 10% of the time, titles like girl from oslo, fauda, blackspace wont load. Tried forced app restart and reinstall, but issue persists.

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can. We understand you're having issues with certain content in the Netflix app. To start, follow the steps listed here to see if they help resolve the issue:If you can't watch or stream movies and TV shows in the Apple TV app

I have exactly the same problem. It helps to delete and reinstall the Netflix app. Then everything is fine for some weeks or months, but, out of a sudden, some titles again refuse to start and I have to do the delete-reinstall cycle once again.

Very annoyed. Every time I try to download movies on my iPad Mini, it says that there are too many downloads on my devices when in fact there are no downloads on any other devices within the people using my account. It works on my iPhone XR, why doesn't work on my iPad mini? Did apple update something behind iPad mini owner's backs so we can't download movies through streaming services to get us to switch to the newer models or is this an issue on Netflix's end? Anyone else having a similar issue with Netflix on their older devices?

I agree totally... 1st apple tv loving it for me and the wife. But parental support for restrictions for my 3 children not very well thought out. Family movie night browsing movies selections don't want see MILF or the blood covered movie title and the other inappropriate titles while looking at new arrivals looking for Disney movies or other G,PG, PG-13. Something should be done ASAP.? I love what apple has been offering for the devices but more control over them in the user hands would be more appreciated then these devices could be in every childs room... IJMS

4. Configure your new profile with whatever name you like, and a different "sign-in" name than your normal account. This is where you can set the profile to only allow certain content ratings. Set them up as you see fit. Click "Save."

5. Go back to your AppleTV. Logout of the current Netflix account, and log back in using the Account Profile sign-in ID you created on the Netflix web site. Yes, I know AppleTV says to put in your email address, but just put in the Account Profile sign-in instead.

It's working for me. I have my AppleTV set to login under a profile with parental controls, not the main account login. I just checked it again just now, and it's working fine. Maybe it's something with your account?

Ok, I should clarify... streaming to a computer or streaming to a Wii will not work unless you are logged into your main profile (Owner Profile). I am not completely sure about AppleTV, however, based on my conversations with Netflix support, they said that any kind of online streaming from Netflix must be done through the main (owner) account due to agreements between Netflix and the media companies providing the content.

apple please create a way to remove everything like search/genre/suggestion/tv shows and leave only instant queue and just for kids. There are so many familes with kids dont want there kids to access anything above pg

netflix start with 500 queue which was great 500 titles 250 kids 250 adult , apple need to add netflix setting to disable the search/ genre and when is off we get instant queue / just for kids two links.

I have this same exact problem with Netflix on my Applet TV 2. Some movies play with sound and others have no sound at all (video plays as if on mute). There's no rhyme or reason to which movies have sound and which ones don't. This just started happening recently, too, so maybe it's the most recent 4.3 software update? I tried restarting the device and nothing changed. If you figure out a solution please post!

I just did a full restore of the Apple TV 2 and it looks like the no sound issues have been fixed! All movies that were giving me issues are now working. @cyberpillz try going to Settings->General->Reset->Restore and see if your sound problems are fixed. Let us know!

I tried turning off the Dolby but it did not work. As I was about to reset I notice the "restart" option (Settings>General). It took about 5 minutes for the restart process to complete. Both netflixs and hbogo are now working. Hope this helps out.

Even better answer at least in iOS 7 on the Apple TV or the latest update is to change Dolby from ON to AUTO. I discovered this last night while testing the on off option discovered auto also exists and it worked fine on my little pony under Netflix which was giving no sound with the video for the blind user.

Is it possible to run zwift on your apple tv 4k and do some picture in picture to watch an movie on netflix or youtube? I allready tried it, it worked but had no sound. Used my iphone to airplay youtube to my apple tv, then picture in picture to start zwift. It worked but I heard no sound of youtube.

However, after some exploring I found there were some additional setting in the tv's advanced sound settings that had not activated, ... I changed them to dolby digital plus and pass through and it seems to have worked!

Thanks Ben. I think the setting I found for PCM that I set to auto has done the trick. I am now seeing Dolby for Netflix 5.1 movies. Still saw Stereo PCM for Dolby Atmos demos on YouTube but they may be my slow internet connection

This is brilliant thank you, I have the same tv and soundbar and couldn't figure out why it was only pcm 2.0. It was driving me mad.. changed my audio settings to pass through in the LG and left the digital plus option to auto and its working perfectly. Thank you!

I'm pretty sure that only matters for the internal speakers.. Once the audio is set to pass through.. the TV let's the sound bar do all the work and allows the app to speak directly with with soundbar.. im no expert but that's what I took from it.. mine is greyed out but set to on.. if it was bothering you, you could try change the audio output to TV internal speaker, turn it on.. then change the audio back to e-arc and it should grey out but be set to on.. but I don't think it matters, the sonos system tells you what signal its outputting and if you go to the sonos app and click settings, then system, then about my system and scroll down you should see what audio format each speaker is receiving... again I'm no expert but that's what I picked up googling stuff and this forum.

To check for sure.. search 'atmos' on netflix. It will give you all the dolby atmos titles.. pick one, let it play and go check your sonos app. As long as you see it in both places in the app then you're fine. Here's what I see when I watch 'our planet' on netflix in dolby vision-atmos.

When apple tv 4k is blocked in pcm stereo, i just "turn off" normally the apple tv. I wait 30 seconds to be sure apple tv, tv and sonos are in stand by mode. After this i turn on apple tv with official remote and now it's works !!!
