Hi all,

I'm new to this user group but I've been using OpenSolaris for testing
Java applications.

Currently, I've been writing JavaFX apps for OpenSolaris and other
platforms.
I was wondering whether the group would be interested for me to
present my experience with JavaFX with demo apps on OpenSolaris. I'll
need about 5 minutes.

Kind Regards
Charles

Hi Charles

I can't speak for the whole group, but I think this would be a great
presentation for the next meeting. This hasn't been scheduled yet, but
the issue with meetings has been finding speakers. I am sure you could
easily go for a lot more than 5 minutes :)

We had a meeting last week (and BTW the new t-shirts are very nice) so
maybe November timeframe would be about right? Could even make it the
Christmas party as well perhaps?

regards,
-glenn

Thanks for your reply. Perhaps, additional speakers with other topics
would also like to be part of the gathering.

Hello group!  two things:

1) I have installed OpenSolaris on my oldish macBook using Sun's VirtualBox VM software
2) Oracle has declared OpenSolaris 'Dead'.  See:

That is all.
