The FDA specifies that the new manual may be used only for full-field digital mammography systems and systems with DBT (not for contrast enhancement systems). The new ACR manual will go into effect in November 2018 for facilities that choose to use it for QC.

A link to download the new manual at no charge was emailed to the facility and technologist contacts (the persons with the ACR Mammography Accreditation login information) at all ACR-accredited mammography facilities on November 19, 2018, with instructions to share the link with their colleagues at the facilities, including their medical physicists. On November 19, 2018, the ACR will implement the 2018 ACR Digital Mammography Quality Control Manual within the accreditation process. Facilities who choose to use the 2018 ACR Digital Mammography Quality Control Manual may submit phantom images obtained with the ACR Digital Mammography Phantom and QC results using the new manual for accreditation of their 2D and DBT systems.

The IDEAL 61-327 Digital Multi Meter is a CAT III 600 rated manual range digital multi meter. It measures up to 600V AC and DC, resistance, continuity, diodes and tests batteries via test-leads (included). It's display can be backlit. The unit uses an illuminated red LED in the center of the meter and emits audible tones to notify when voltage is above 30 volts, and when continuity is detected. The rubber boot has two probe storage points, has built-in probe tip holders to allow measurements while holding the meter in one hand and the second lead in the other hand. The meter has a hanging strap mount (compatible with all other IDEAL meters with this feature) that allows for a hanging strap (sold separately) to be attached to the meter so it can be hung from a nail, screw or magnetic surface.
