I am planning out a Star Wars fan film and am trying to find high quality sounds of mostly lightsabers and blasters but I wouldn't mind other Star Wars sound effects as well. Is there somewhere where I can get these sound effects while also being clear/high quality sounds? Thank you.
Don't need to prove anything to you...you don't notice the difference. Proving it will not change how you hear things...or the lack thereof. Those of us who can hear the difference do not need to prove anything to know the difference exists. Sorry you feel left out on this one, but knowing the difference between the iconic lightsaber sound effects and the ones Bioware invented is all in your ability to notice detail. Obviously your strong suit rests in other things, however detail to sound is not one of them when it comes to sound effects.
I have identified 9 different lightsaber ignition sounds in game currently, only one (the Vile Avenger Lightsaber on Dromund Kaas commendations vendor) has the iconic ignition sound used by Sith Lightsabers in the movies: =P5ySxIHAjGE which you hear when Darth Vader, Maul, and Sidious ignite their lightsabers (actually even Anakin's Lightsaber uses this sound when he goes to kill the younglings, and it's probably the most vicious sounding lightsaber noise in the saga)
Agreed. It sounds surprisingly vicious for a Jedi weapon. That scene on Endor when Luke turns himself in; Vader ignites his lightsaber and it really sounds threatening. I don't know if it's the look on Hamill's face or what, but as a kid i really thought Vader was just gonna strike him down right then and there. Plus in that moment, we get a really good shot of the handle of the saber, probably the best shot of any saber handle in the whole trilogy. Made me love that saber design as a kid; only Vader's saber (IMO) beats it, though prequel Windu and Palpatine sabers are quite nice.
I think the sound is actually vader's lightsaber ignition sound at a higher pitch and sped up actually, sounds very energetic like it's just bursting out, while the standard Jedi Lightsaber sound is even and smooth
The suggestion that one hilt might have multiple different sounds based on the color crystal in it is just crazy.. I'm going to have to save up a lot of credits (removing mods at high levels gets expensive) and test this out!
I feel quite disappointed, I made the niman master's lightsaber on the statement that it made that noise, it doesn't, it makes the normal boring Jedi Lightsaber sound. Very lame. Takes 3 hard mode runs and depriving someone else in the group of their rakata pieces over an underpowered piece of junk that isn't even aesthetically pleasing :/
Seems like a waste, what's the point of those lightsabers and why do they cost 3 hard mode resources? They're not unique, the Tionese lightsaber looks the same as it makes the same sound, and has better stats.
