When I create sticky notes, I am able to type and delete text as normal. However, when I save them for the next day, something different happens. I am able to delete text (as well as copy/paste), but cannot add text to sticky notes from the previous day.
I want the notes to be able for me to update them with information each day, but cannot do this due to the notes being locked from typing. I am using an windows in an office setting, so I am not able to download any third-party apps to replace the sticky notes.
I have the exact problem with notes left open on my desk top the next day. I am also not able to add to or edit the previous notes. I agree that this reduces the usability.I use the notes to log my time spent on certain jobs for a required form that I fill out at the end of the week. Sometimes, I need to add onto the previous day's note and I am not able to do so.It seems like this should be a fixable glitch.
Feels like a really dumb question...but I installed OneNote on my android and started making "sticky notes" because it was easy. But I tried to access them on my PC and I can't find them anywhere. How can I open them on my PC? I use MS Office 365 for enterprise installed on my PC.
I am not sure if this is the right place for this issue. But let's see
Since we generated our master image of Win10-20H2 we have the following issue on our VMware instant clone pool.
If a user clicks on the windows store sticky notes app, it doesn't start correctly.
There is only a window in the taskbar with a running cycle inside but I am not able to add a new note.
If I close the process/windows and open the sticky notes again. It works!
I also reset my UEM profile but same issue happens everytime again. First start after logon to the instant clone the sticky notes don't start correctly.
Sticky Notes version is: 4.1.6.0
Evernote is everything I've been looking for and more to optimize the majority of my time. Making dynamic data accessible/synced across multiple machines (home, work & mobile) is becoming the most sought after commodity in my opinion. And being someone who loves physical sticky notes; once I found that Evernote and Sticky Notes work together I thought it was a god-send! Both applications work great, are easily operated and are perfect for me, but I wish development on them was a bit faster. I would gladly pay $$ for more capabilities.

Microsoft Sticky Notes is a utility tool developed by Microsoft Corporation. This simple program is already included as one of the built-in apps in your Windows operating system that can be used immediately. It allows you to jot down all the important things that you need to do later and that you need to be reminded of. You can either take note of it by typing or writing on the sticky notes provided.
Once you've launched the program, you will have the option to set the app in one of the many colors available or opt for a dark theme. You can incorporate a picture and even add text formatting in your notes. All created reminders in Cortana can easily be linked up in your Sticky Notes app, as well. Moreover, the notes listed on your computer can be synced across all your devices.
On several apps like OneNote Mobile, Microsoft Launcher for Android, and Outlook for Windows, Sticky notes can possibly be synced too. If you're done creating a note, you can just leave it floating in any part of your desktop background. You will be able to move them freely move them with ease. Otherwise, if you prefer it hidden, you can close the notes and it will be kept neatly on your 'Notes list'
Your Microsoft sticky notes are actually saved on OneNote, and you can view and edit sticky notes on the web by going to www.onenote.com/stickynotes. If you have an Outlook email address associated with your account, the notes are also viewable in a folder in your emails, but they aren't editable from there.
These notes will not be able to "stick" on your desktop the way they do on Windows. If you want to use a sticky notes application that works the way Microsoft Sticky Notes does on Windows, it will not be able to sync with your Microsoft sticky notes.
Download (Free)3. Simple Sticky NotesSimple Sticky Notes is another alternative to Sticky Notes that is clean, lightweight, and powerful. It offers the option to keep your tasks appear on top of all windows which is great. So you can continue browsing the web and add tasks as you go forward. You can also drag and drop texts directly on the sticky note which is great. The only con is that it does not support images which I think is passable. Other than that, you can edit the title, change colors, adjust opacity, share notes via email, and more. All in all, I would say, Simply Stick Notes is the perfect alternative to the original Sticky Notes on Windows 10 that just works without any fuss.Download (Free)

The original Sticky Notes was a gadget included with Windows Vista. Gadgets were continued in Windows 7, though Sticky Notes itself became a standalone app built on the Win32 platform, that could still open at startup. This version did not directly support pen input. The default color is yellow, but five other colors are offered. Sticky Notes have jumplists and a taskbar preview, which shows the notes in a stack. Sticky Notes are automatically saved.[8] This version was reused in Windows 8 and the initial releases of Windows 10.[9]
In the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, released in 2016, a new version of Sticky Notes built on the Universal Windows Platform was introduced. It can be launched as a standalone app or part of the Windows Ink workspace. The latter method causes the space behind the notes to become blurred. The new version directly accepts pen input and can recognize words and letters in handwritten text, basic text formatting, pictures. It is designed to be stick to the desktop or move around. The new Sticky Notes provides stock information when a ticker is typed or written, and it provides flight info when a flight number is typed or written.[10] It has Cortana integration and can create reminders from notes that include a date.[11][12] Unlike the Windows 7 version, this version's taskbar preview shows a stock image rather than the notes a user has created. It originally did not have a jump list, but that was added back in version 1.6.2 on February 6, 2017.
Sticky Notes can sync notes across multiple devices, not just to Windows 10 devices, but also to iOS and Android devices running Microsoft OneNote and Outlook for Windows.[13][14][15] A web client to edit sticky notes is also available on the OneNote website, at the obscure onenote.com/stickynotes location.[16][17][18]
