Crawford & Power was born of red clay, back roads, callouses, and ingenuity passed down from mash makers. With roots in country, Americana, and southern rock, they seek to spawn a classic country music revival with a splash of sweet iced tea and whiskey. Their unique approach to a fading genre has been lauded as a breath of fresh air amidst the commercialization of sacred American music genres. The two have already opened for a variety of artists including The Marshall Tucker Band, Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, High Valley, Joe Diffie and Jerry Douglas to name a few. With a quickly growing schedule, the duo is expanding their geographic to a city near you soon. Their debut EP set for a 2018 release will be a no-holds barred approach to country music all too familiar to their fans.

For the past 19 years, musician and entertainer Al Barlow, along with Gareth Angleton, has hosted The Terlingua Music Bash, affectionately known as the Al Barlow Fest, in Terlingua, Texas. Folk musicians from around the country come together for this 4-day exchange of songs and stories.

Music Bashes, formerly referred to as Bouncing Notes,[1] are creatures resembling musical notes, which are found in Music Park in Mario Kart 7, Mario Kart 8, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. They are found towards the end of the track. They bounce in tune with the melody and, once they land, create waves that lift all racers on their section up a little; a trick can be performed when this happens. Anyone beneath Bouncing Notes when they land, however, is flattened. Three ticks, similar to the sound of a metronome, can be heard before they land. Bouncing Notes notably bounce faster when the timer is reached, most commonly on the third lap. In Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, smaller Bouncing Notes appear near the finish line as spectators of the race.

Bash on the Bay was born in 2017! The island began planning their biggest ever music festival. Toby Keith entertained the island as the headlining performer. People from all over the United States to see the show. Put-in-Bay Ohio realized this event had amazing potential. Here we are, four years later ready to host our first two-day country music festival!

In 2019, Kid Rock stepped in as the headlining performer alongside Uncle Kracker and the island went crazy! Both of the Put-in-Bay ferries (The Jet Express and Miller Ferry) were at full capacity and had to run extended hours to accommodate the surge of people headed to and from the Put-in-Bay concert. On the water, boats came in from Catawba, Toledo, Port Clinton, and even Detroit and Cleveland to enjoy the music festival! Meanwhile, all of the Put-in-Bay lodging, home rentals, condos, hotels and resorts on the island were completely sold out.

The 2019 Bash was big with Kid Rock for one night, but Bash on the Bay 4 was going to be even bigger in 2020! The island began planning their biggest ever music festival. People from all over the US were ready to come visit when they heard that Blake Shelton and Keith Urban were the two headliners. However, Covid put a damper on our plans and we had to delay the concert until 2021. Who will the big headliners be next year?

Bash on the Bay returned after a year off for Covid! This gave the island more time for planning their biggest ever music festival. The first night of the Bash featuring Blake Shelton with Runaway Jane. The second night of the Bash featured Keith Urban with Carly Pearce. People from all over the United States to see the show. National promoters are realizing that this event has amazing potential.

This concert for kids and families shares the music of the artist named above with a new generation of music lovers, but is not associated with or endorsed by the artist. All children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.

The Rock and Roll Playhouse knows that little ears are sensitive, so we turn down the volume at our shows. However, all kids experience music differently and you may find that your child is more comfortable wearing hearing protection earmuffs, such as Baby Banz, which are available for purchase here.

So I'm struggling to decode Spotify's Web Authentication set up. What I'm looking to do is create a bash script to add the currently playing song to a predetermined playlist. The aim is to have it so I can push a keyboard shortcut and save it.

The linesplit("0,2,4,5,7,9,11,12",a,",");creates an array 'a' which encodes the relative number of semitones from the base note in a major musical scale. This array is useful in the print statement because the frequency in Hertz of a musical note with equal temperament can be calculated using the following formula: 440 * 2^(semitone distance / 12). 440Hz has arbitrarily been chosen as the reference note, and it represents the frequency of A4.

This will just calculate values on one cycle of a sine curve. If you then multiply 'i' by a frequency X of a musical note, each iteration of the for loop will calculate points on the X cycles of notes of the given frequency so the amplitude will change faster than the original 1 cycle per completion of the for loop.

Cmus is a console music player. I chose this one over a GUI option because all I want from a music player is to hear my songs. Because the need was so simple I decided to get something less resource hungry than my previous option (audacious). I tried exaile and other 2 options I no can no longer remember. In the end cmus worked as expected using almost no resources in this aging PC.

Mapping keyboard shortcuts to the cmus-remote command is a breeze, but I still wanted some GUI feedback. To that end I made a little bash script to be used to print media tag information to the screen using libnotify: cmus-notify.sh

Oscurecimiento gradual (slowly darkening) was written by Orlando Jacinto Garcia in the spring of 2005 for pianist Max Lifchitz and the 2005 Nuovi Spazi Musicali Festival held in Rome. The title refers to the slowly decaying sounds that are present throughout much of the work as well as the tendency towards darker timbres heard in the lower registers as the work progresses. Although not a programmatic piece, these trends seemed to suggest the image of the fading light at twilight as it progresses into the darkness of the evening. As with much of my music the interplay between register, density, timbre, and pacing are important aspects of the piece.
