Immediate Need a Cisco - Unix Admin in  RTP, NC.
 
Title:    Cisco - Unix Admin
Location: RTP, NC
Duration:  1 year contract,

Must-haves
5 to 8 years HP/UX and Linux (shell scripting)
Build, design and architecture experience in an HP/UX and Linux environment
Configure SAN Storage (Symmetrix or HP or IBM or Hitachi or other high end storage)
Volume management (LVM, multi-pathing)
Performance tuning
Replication for Disaster Recovery (SRDF)
Backups with virtual tape libraries
Printing troubleshooting / IP address mapping in Linux environment
On call rotation

Plusses
Perl scritping
RHEL
Backups (wtih EMC/Legato Networker)
Custom printing troubleshooting with CUPS or LP (Unix printing support)
Networking experience
Netbackup experience
Symmetrix
Experience with migrations
Legato
Cisco networking experience

Day-to-Day
We are looking for two candidates to replace two team members that are leaving the group, they have responsibility for mission critical work. These candidates need to drive changes for an
enterprise migratrion from HP/UX to Linux platform. Ideally, if this individual has experience building environments with design and architecture work, they will easily be able to make an impact on
the team. We are looking for a generalist that has as much exposure to both HP/UX and Linux as possible, along with storage, backups, performance tuning, replications for disaster recovery to
another internal customer location and the various duties of Linux admins or engineers. They will need to increase file systems, access sotrage arrays, create zones, build new file systems, be the back line support for printing, tune kernels for performance tuing and shell scripting. This group is phasing out a manufacturing facility so the work should be 1 year and has a big possibility of going permanent.
