The Siskiyou Field Institute is currently planning our Spring Adventure Learning course series, and we’re reaching out to local experts, naturalists, EE educators, and ecologists who might be interested in sharing their knowledge of the incredible Klamath-Siskiyou region.
I am reaching out local experts of the region, like you, to see if you would be interested in being an instructor for spring 2026. You can see our sample fall field courses here.
We are currently recruiting instructors to lead field-based courses on a variety of topics related to the ecology, geology, flora, fauna, cultural history, and conservation of the Klamath-Siskiyou bioregion.
What you can expect when teaching a course at SFI:
Course Format: Typically 1- to 3-day field courses
Audience: Adults, college students, naturalists, teachers, and lifelong learners
Location: Based out of SFI’s campus in Selma OR or at a public land area anywhere in the Klamath Siskiyou Region
Classes must relate to connecting students to the biodiversity, wonder, and science-based exploration or the Klamath Siskiyou's.
If you or someone you work with are interested, please reach out to us! You can email me (edma...@thesfi.org) or call 541-597-3034
