The Children's Museum is recruiting guests for a special monthly program, Animal Encounter.  This is a great opportunity to visit with families, share animals and the wonderful work that organizations are doing in our community.  If you have animals associated with your program then contact me.

On the 1st Saturday of each month we present a live animal (or animals) for kids to learn about.  Last year a variety of animals visited including a tortoise, the Sheriff dept. sniffer dog, goats, and spiders. In addition to learning about different animals, guests have the opportunity to learn about various organizations that the animals are associated with.

The Animal Encounter program operates like a show-n-tell that starts at 11 am.  It runs for at least 30 minutes and no more than 1 hour.  Time is flexible to accommodate the flow of interested guests and the needs of the animals and their handlers.  Kids love to touch the animals but this is NOT a requirement of this program.  It is within the comfort level and requirements of you and your dogs.

Currently the available dates are May 2, Aug. 1, Oct. 3, and Nov. 7. I'd be happy to discuss the Animal Encounter and any other opportunities with you.
