SOCAN received a subaward grant for the “Youth and Schools Climate Education” project. We are currently seeking applicants to fill the position of Project Coordinator see attached position descriptions).

This twelve-month project is designed to assist teachers in Jackson, Josephine, and Curry counties by providing supplemental resources specifically oriented to teaching about climate change in Southern Oregon. These resources include up-to-date environmental science materials, support with unit/lesson plans, classroom visits, and field experiences.

The Project Coordinator leads all aspects of the project by keeping the project on schedule and guiding it efficiently from planning through completion. This is a part-time position, ~16 hours/week, paid monthly at an hourly rate that is based on experience. The hourly rate is $20 - $30 per hour depending on experience level.

Interested persons should submit a cover letter explaining the position in which you are interested, relevant experiences that qualify you for the position, your resume and names and contact information of three professional references. This information should be sent to Kathy Conway (ka...@socan.eco) as soon as possible.
