Final Time Trial on Raccoon Mountain
When: Wed, July 21, 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Where: TVA Road, Chattanooga, TN 37419 (map)
Description: Come join SORBA-Chattanooga as it hosts the Diamondback
Raccoon Mountain Time Trail Race Series. The Diamondback Raccoon
Mountain Time Trail Race Series is a three event time trial series
held at in the Laurel Point area on Raccoon Mountain. Racers will be
ale to race the course twice each night, the best time being recorded
for each evening's results. Medals will be awarded to the first place
winner of the *series*, in each category. Costs $7 per race, ($18 for
the entire race series if paid before or at the first race). Every
racer MUST be a SORBA-Chattanooga member to participate due to
insurance requirements. Memberships can be purchased on line prior to

Monday Evening Booker T. Ride
When: Mondays 6pm – 8pm
Where: Booker T. Washington State Park (map)
Description: Rides to cure the "Mondays." If you are new to SORBA or
simply wish to meet other riders and have a good time, join us. All
skill levels are welcome. Meet at the lot below the pool. Weather
permitting we'll head out circa 6:15 and ride until dark or until
we're no longer able to pedal (whichever comes first.) Call/text/email

Thursday Evening Rides At Raccoon Mtn
When: Thursdays 6:00pm – 7:30pm
Where: TVA Road, TN 37419 (map)
Description: SORBA-Chattanooga weekly mountain bike ride on Raccoon
Mountain are moving to Thursdays starting in July. Come join us for
and after work ride each Thursday (weather permitting). Meet in the
East Brow Parking Lot at 6 pm. After the ride many riders will head
downtown for dinner.

Saturday July 24-Ride Raccoon with SORBA-Woodstock
When: Sat, July 24, 9:30am – 1:30pm
Where: TVA Road, Chattanooga, TN 37419 (map)
Description: On July 24th, the SORBA-Woodstock chapter will be hosting
a group ride on Raccoon Mountain. This will be an intermediate level
ride with different groups within the ride from slower to advanced.
All interested riders should meet at the TVA Raccoon Mountain Visitor
Center at 9:30am. The ride will begin from the visitor center at
9:30am. Bring plenty of water, dress for warm weather, and bring a
snack.

Trail Work Day - Raccoon Mountain Trails
When: Sat, July 31, 9am – 1pm
Where: TVA Road, Chattanooga, TN 37419 (map)
Description: Help SORBA-Chattanooga complete trail maintenance on
Raccoon Mountain. We will be addressing several trail issues,
including adding railings to one of the bridges on the Electric Avenue
trail, trimming the brush back from the trail as it passes near the
visitor center, and constructing turn pikes and a short re-route on
the East Rim Trail. All volunteers should meet in the visitor center
parking lot. We will provide all tools, but if you have a pair of
clippers please consider bringing it along. SORBA-Chattanooga will
provide lunch to all volunteers. For more information please contact

Trail Work Day - ESNP
When: Sat, August 7, 8:30am – 1:30pm
Where: Enterprise South Nature Park (map)
Description: SATURDAY MARCH 6th from 8:30 to 1:00 volunteers will do
finish work on our newly constructed 3.5 mile loop. Bring gloves and
water. Bring your bike. If it's dry enough we'll ride afterwards
(you'll be the first). NOTE: NEW ENTRANCE !! Meet at the gate on
Hickory Valley Rd approx .75 mile off Bonny Oaks Dr All ESNP
volunteers will be the only ones' eligible to ride the trails before
the park officially opens in October. Also volunteers who come to at
least three workdays this year also will recieve one of our new Trail
