Trail Reminder: Remeber the trails need to be respected during
inclement weather. As much as we all love to ride, they will need
time to recover from bad/wet weather. Check the forum, Facebook for
updates. Enterprise South has a Facebook page that they update with
trail status. Check it out!


SORBA-Chattanooga General Membership Meeting/Elections for 2011
When: Mon, January 24 , 6:30pm – 7:30pm

Description: SORBA-Chattanooga's bi-monthly chapter meeting. Please
join SORBA-Chattanooga at our regular chapter meeting from 6:30-7:30pm
at Outdoor Chattanooga in Coolidge Park. This meeting is open to the
public and is an excellent forum to ask any questions you may have
about the current state of mountain biking in Chattanooga, or to ask
anything else you may be curious of. Also, board members will be on-
hand to provide updates relative to their specific roles within the

SORBA Wide Trail Weekend Celebration Planned for January 21-23, 2011!
Please join SORBA-Chattanooga the weekend of January 21-23 for a fun
filled weekend of mountain biking and trail construction. The weekend
will include two rides, a trail work day, a volunteer thank you party
on Saturday, and free lodging at Cloudland Canyon State Park. Here are
the details:

9:00 – 3:00 Trail Work Party @ Five Points Trailhead

3:00 Volunteer Raffle
3:30 Celebration Ride
6:00 – 11:00 Trail Weekend Celebration Dinner/Party and a MTB Movie

Sunday, January 22
10:00 Group Ride Celebration @ Raccoon Mountain, Visitors Center
Come join SORBA-Chattanooga for a weekend of mountain biking, trail
building, and having an absolute blast!
This trail weekend celebration will be held at the Five Points
Trailhead parking area, where volunteers will begin working on the new
18 mile trail system located in surrounding area. A volunteer lunch
will be provided, following lunch volunteers will continue working
until approximately 3 or 4 pm. Following the conclusion of the work
party volunteers can ride and shower (if they so choose) at the park
and meet for a celebration dinner that evening. On Sunday a ride at
Raccoon Mountain will begin at 10 am and will continue until
approximately 1 pm.
Free accommodations will be provided for Friday and Saturday to the
first 35 volunteers that register for the weekend.
No experience is necessary to volunteer at our trail work day. Please
plan to bring gloves, water, and always remember to dress
appropriatley for weather conditions. All attendees will be
responsible for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. SORBA-Chattanooga
will be providing both lunch and dinner Saturday.
Also, don’t forget that all IMBA/SORBA members that attend a SORBA-
Chattanooga workday get one ticket towards out Lynskey Volunteer Frame
Giveaway. Please come out and support your community while improving
