Workday ESNP Saturday October 9
When: 8:30am – 9:30am Eastern Time

This is it. We have less than 1/2 mile to clear roots and de-berm. We
will work till
noon. Have lunch. Then ride. We will ride all 9 miles. This is the
last time we
will be able to have the park to ourselves - it opens to the public
Monday October 11.

Directions - Take 75 to the VW exit. at the roundabout take the right.
Go

City-Wide Trail Work Day-Saturday October 16
When 9am – 1pm Eastern Time
In anticipation of starting trail construction on new 18-mile trial
network on Lookout Mountain, SORBA-Chattanooga will be hosting a city-
wide trial maintenance day on October 9, 2010. The goal is to address
as many maintenance issues as possible on this date so that we will be
able to focus our efforts on Lookout Mountain for the next several
months.
Trail work will held on that following sites:
Raccoon Mountain - Meet Jeffrey Schaarschmidt in the visitor center's
parking lot @ 9:00 am.
Booker T. Washington State Park - Meet Mark McOmie in the upper
parking lot next to the swimming pool @ 9:00 am.
Enterprise South Nature Park - Meet Brian Grow at the new main
entrance to the park @ 8:30 am.

Fall Creek Falls Autum Ride -Saturday October 23
When 8:30am – 5pm Eastern Time
Where Fall Creek Falls State Park, Pikeville, TN (map)

What: Fall Creek Falls Autumn Color Mountain Bike Ride
Ride the Upper Loop Trail at Fall Creek Falls State Park at just about
the time the autumn colors are in full effect.
Where: For everyone who wishes to car pool to the trail head, we will
be meeting in the Signal Mountain Boulevard WalMart parking lot at
8:45 am. We will be leaving at 9 am SHARP, so you will need to arrive
early to move bikes and gear between vehicles. If you ride with
someone you should be prepared to chip in a few dollars to help cover
gas. If you would rather drive to the trail head, you can meet us
there at 10 am (map).Other: Following the ride we will be stopping for
a late lunch, before making our way back to Chattanooga.

ESNP Trail Ribbon Cutting Ceremony-Saturday November 6
When 10am – 2:30pm Eastern Time
SORBA-Chattanooga will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony at
Enterprise South Nature Park to celebrate the opening of the park and
our official opening of the trails. This event will include group
rides and booths featuring Lynskey Performance bikes and North Face's
new clothing line. We will have some swag to give away, so don't miss
it.



Evening Rides at Enterprise South Nature Park-Wednesdays
When: 6pm – 7:30pm Eastern Time

Enter the park from the Volkswagon exit off I-75. At the roundabout
take the first right. That's the park visitor's center. Meet at the
gate.
This ride was started as a benefit for those that worked so hard on
the trail system and the County was gracious enough to allow us to
hold the ride. If you are riding and have not volunteered for a trail
day please consider doing so. There is still lot's to due before the
park opens in October. Enjoy the trail. There's more to come soon! The
more volunteers - the quicker it all gets done. Spread the word.


Evening Rides At Raccoon Mtn-Thursdays
When 6pm – 7:30pm Eastern Time

SORBA-Chattanooga weekly mountain bike ride on Raccoon Mountain are
moving to Thursdays starting in July. Come join us for and after work
ride each Thursday (weather permitting). Meet in the East Brow Parking
Lot at 6 pm. After the ride many riders will head downtown for
dinner.
