When Bitbucket Server is installed as a Windows service, the Bitbucket home directory location, defined by the BITBUCKET_HOME variable in setenv.bat is not used. This is because the Bitbucket Server service has the -Dbitbucket.home hardcoded based on the value that was used when the installation was run. This page outlines how to change the BITBUCKET_HOME variable for the Windows service.
I have tried everything I can think of, I've had two friends who deal with IT problems look at my computer via shared screen with no luck. Since updating to Windows 11 I never noticed Windows Security would not open until recently, it's active and running in the background in Task Manager. I've tried the Powershell and CMD hotfixes, I've reset my PC locally and cloud but I have no restore or recovery points prior to the Windows 11 update. My PC is up to date on all firmware from Microsoft but Windows Security still will not open. Windows Security nor Windows Defender is not listed under my "Installed Apps" or "Default Apps" so I can't try a drop down repair on it. It does show within my Task Manager that there is Windows Defender engine running and in the hidden icons tab it shows Windows Security active. How do you fix this without having to lug your whole PC to a shop?
Repair Windows Security using DISM: Open Command Prompt as administrator and run the following commands: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /StartComponentCleanup
@ShahbazUbaid my windows license is already expired. and i am not getting any security updates ever since. and that is also the time where i noticed that my windows security app won't open. is it because of my windows license bein expired? do you think if i reactivate my license, it will solve my problem?
@TayDean It's early 2024 and I am in the same boat since the most recent update. In all their wisdom, Microsoft has removed Troubleshooter with this update and wants me to contact tech support. The last time I did that, I was 77 people away from help. I do not have that kind of time.
I've tried all the suggestions here except reinstalling Windows, which is a major hassle and would require hunting down the software I use for work and reinstalling it too. I had to do this once last week because a previous update crashed my computer. It created all manner of work-related issues.
This is really dumb and Microsoft should have fixed this already. But I'm open to more suggestions.
@ShahbazUbaid I appreciate the suggestion, but it didn't work. I'd actually tried it already along with a host of other suggestions found in other places, but thought I'd missed something. I did not.
I'm fairly sure I'm going to have to reinstall Windows again to fix this. It will have to wait until the weekend as I work full-time from home and this has eaten up far too much of my time as it is.
Exceedingly frustrating.
The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) is administered at the state and local level. To apply for weatherization assistance, contact your state weatherization agency.
One of the primary factors affecting eligibility is income. Under DOE guidelines, households at or below 200% of the poverty income guidelines are considered eligible for weatherization services or if they receive Supplemental Security Income. In addition, each state or territory may elect to use the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) criteria of 60% of state-median income.
WAP Grantees also give priority to the elderly, families with one or more members with a disability, families with children, high-energy users, or households with a high energy burden. Please use the map to visit your specific state, territory, or tribe and review the identified eligibility guidelines.
The state, tribal, or territorial website may provide a list of the local organizations or providers that offer weatherization services under its "How to Apply" section. Some states offer an online application direct from their website, but most guide you to contact the local providers. This list is usually organized by county and provides an address, phone number, and/or website.
Once you have identified your local weatherization provider, contact them to start the application process. Your local provider will require proof of income for the prior year, such as pay stubs or social security payments. For information on proof of income, please refer to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services' Poverty Income Guidelines and Definition of Income.
Once your home is selected for weatherization services, your local WAP provider will schedule an energy auditor to visit your home. The energy audit is a computerized assessment of your home's energy use carried out by a professional energy auditor and includes an analysis of your energy bills, a blower-door (pressurized) test to determine the infiltration of outside air into your house, and an inspection of all energy equipment for potentially health and safety issues.
Once the energy audit analysis is complete, the energy auditor will provide you with a recommended scope of work of the most cost-effective energy conservation measures for your home. After reviewing your WAP-funded energy conservation upgrades, the energy auditor and/or a crew leader from the local WAP provider will meet with you to explain how the work crews and/or contractors will conduct the work and the timeline expected to complete the project.
The following federal programs provide grants to states and territories who fund local organizations to provide low-income families in need of assistance with utility costs, housing or emergency services.
This is Not an Exhaustive List. Please note this list only includes some of the most common energy assistance programs. Remember to check with your state and local government for energy assistance programs and resources.
The Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program (IHWAP) helps low income residents and households conserve fuel and reduce energy costs by making their homes and apartments more energy efficient. IHWAP also provides many health and safety upgrades ensuring safe and healthy homes. Energy conservation and health and safety measures provided through home weatherization can ensure citizens have access to more affordable energy services. Weatherization services that can be funded through IHWAP include:
The simplest way to install Jenkins on Windows is to use the Jenkins Windows installer. That program will install Jenkins as a service using a 64 bit JVM chosen by the user.Keep in mind that to run Jenkins as a service, the account that runs Jenkins must have permission to login as a service.
Refer to the Windows section of theDownloading Jenkins pageto download either an LTS release or a weekly release of the Windows installer. After the download completes, open the Windows installer and follow the steps below to install Jenkins.
When Installing Jenkins, it is recommended to install and run Jenkins as an independentwindows service using a local or domain user as it is much safer than running Jenkinsusing LocalSystem(Windows equivalent of root) which will grant Jenkins full accessto your machine and services.
To run Jenkins service using a local or domain user, specify the domain user name andpassword with which you want to run Jenkins, click on Test Credentials to test your domain credentials and click on Next.
Specify the port on which Jenkins will be running,Test Port button to validate whether the specified port if free on your machine or not.Consequently, if the port is free, it will show a green tick mark as shown below, then click on Next.
The installation process checks for Java on your machine and prefills the dialog with theJava home directory. If the needed Java version is not installed on your machine, you will be prompted to install it.
MSI installers can be installed via a silent method, which can show basic UI (/qb) or no UI at all (/qn). The silent method does not prompt for user input so there are properties that you can pass to the installer to set the specific values. A very basic command line is shown below for a silent install.
When installing a service to run under a domain user account, the account must have the right to logon as a service. This logon permission applies strictly to the local computer and must be granted in the Local Security Policy.
Hi thank you everyone for your awesome input and help. I'm trying to decide placement for service drop to new electrical service panel/main circuit breaker panel. this is new construction of a two story house and I'm hoping to place it on side wall in between two windows that my service drop pipe has a straight shot up the wall thru the 2nd floor and out the roof. there is only 24" on each side of panel then windows.
(A) Clearances. Service conductors installed as open conductors or multiconductor cable without an overall outer jacket shall have a clearance of not less than 900 mm (3 ft) from windows that are designed to be opened, doors, porches, balconies, ladders, stairs, fire escapes, or similar locations.
Notice this actually refers to the service drop conductors not the conductors down the side of the building. "Open conductors" is the old three wire service drops and "multiconductor cable without an overall outer jacket" is triplex. These are both used for the actual service drop. Once you hit the house and transition to SE cable or a raceway you can put the service where you want as long a step it is adequately supported.
Now, you said "up the wall" so I presume you are attaching your raceway on the outside of the house. That would be the normal method. Then up through the eave to the service point. Passing the service through the wall before it is protected by a breaker or fuse is a Code violation. The service is supposed to remain outside the home until it reaches the closest point to the main disconnect. Your inspector may have some specific Code interpretation about passing through the eave. This is usually allowed if it just a small slope at that point and is a non-habitable part of the home such as an attic.
