Hi,

I am getting the following error displayed on the edit screen of every step:

Sanitizer Warning
Syntax error: Could not open input in line 0

When I try to see the experiment on preview mode, or run a test session, I only get a log with multiple iterations of the following error:

Error while rendering step

See session log!

Has anyone had this problem before? Any ideas as to what might be going on?

Thanks for any feedback!

Hello JR,

To help you I would require some additional information.

Please provide the session.log as well as the application.log to get an idea of the problem. As you mentioned, that the error occures in every step, I assume that you made some changes to your installation or to your PHP version? Which installation of SoPHIE are you currently using? In an early version of SoPHIE there has been an issue with PHP short tags, which might be the case for you.

Kind regards
Steffen

Hi Steffen,

Thanks for your help. Attached are text files with the session and application logs (I couldn't find a way to export files directly from the platform, but I can go back and try to figure that out if necessary). I'm using version 3.2.1, and have not made any changes to the installation or PHP version. I did refresh the steptypes, though, as specified in the documentation.

Below is a brief pattern that I get in the session log repeatedly as soon as I run a session. I just get multiple iterations of that for each step, and the pattern is also present in the application log. But the full detail is in the files attached.

  • 2017-07-11 08:17:21 Sanitizer Exception
  • 2017-07-11 08:17:21 Sanitizer check failed

  • 2017-07-11 08:17:21 Warning: file_put_contents(): Filename cannot be empty (2)

Hello JR,

The best way to address your problem would be a quick talk on Skype.

You can send me your contact information and your availability to sup...@sophielabs.com and I am sure that we will find a time to talk.

Kind regards
Steffen

Hi Steffen,

Thank you very much for making yourself available. Fortunately, we were recently able to fix the issue. It looks like the default system temp directory was undefined in the /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/etc/php.ini file.

This line seems to have done the trick:

"sys_temp_dir="/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/temp/"

I hope that's helpful to anyone with a similar problem.
