(New York, NY) – Breakout stars of 2012, the dynamic duo Karmin celebrate platinum sales, #1 Billboard Dance Club status and Top 10 at Top 40 Radio for their infectious hit “Brokenhearted,” the first single from their debut album, Hello. After the honor of debuting "Brokenhearted" on Saturday Night Live earlier this year, the duo instantly became a worldwide trending topic on Twitter. Subsequent stints on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Good Morning America, and Chelsea Lately solidified the duo’s universal appeal. Reviews concur, Entertainment Weekly raving, “Their debut delivers seven tracks of adorkable hip-pop originals…” while People magazine praise the pair with three out of four stars, saying “…[Karmin] prove they’re more than a web novelty.”

And the accolades keep coming: Karmin snagged two nominations for “Breakout Group” and “Web Star” at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards which airs on Sunday, July 22^nd. Nick and Amy also received a nomination for “Best Web-Born Artist,” in MTV, VH1, CMT’s prestigious O Music Award (Online Music Award). The network’s groundbreaking and Webby-award winning prize event celebrates and honors artists impacting digital-music culture. The duo are set to hit the road this summer in the U.S. with Flo Rida, Cee-Lo Green and Kirko Bangz for the “R You On The List” tour while playing headlining college gigs across the country. In addition Karmin have been headlining Gay Pride festivals including LA, Kansas City, Chicago and Palm Springs with the San Francisco Pride Festival coming up on Sunday where they are expected to play for over 100k attendees.

“Brokenhearted” hit #1 on Billboard’s Heatseeker’s Chart, and Top 20 on Billboard’s Pop, Digital and Dance/ Club Play charts and hit the top ten at Top 40 Radio. Karmin took the internet by storm last year after posting a cover of Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now” on YouTube. The clip instantly went viral and became one of YouTube’s most viewed videos of 2011. The duo has since released their debut album Hello and racked up over a half of a billion views for their videos.
