The month of Elul in Kabbalah is the month of forgiveness as we
prepare our hearts, minds, and spirits in preparation for the high
holidays. Elul is a time for spiritual accounting. The gates of heaven
are open this month! Kabbalists believe we are responsible for our
spiritual being so “As above, so Below” we can awaken the heavenly to
affect the natural existence on this earth. We call out to Ein Sof
from the depths of our souls asking for te’shuvah, repentance, to
return to one’s true essence. We must self evaluate. This is the time
for relationships to heal that may not have been possible before.
Historically, Elul is the time period during which Moses returned to
Mount Sinai to ask for forgiveness for the sin of the Golden Calf.
Likewise, now is our time to ask for forgiveness, to open ourselves up
for divine forgiveness and divine intervention. We realize how
connected we are to God and to one another. Let us realize our
mistakes of the past; let us move in greater spiritual revelations and
relationships with HaShem, to one another, our families, the Jewish
community, and greater community. Let us appreciate what Ein Sof has
done for us and what Ein Sof is doing for us knowing we have hope to
overcome anything because of what Ein Sof has promised us!

After Monday nights teaching with Ramon, I am starting to see some
light with Kabbalah, don't understand much yet, but I am seeing the
whole thing now in a brighter light. Yeshua did pratice Kabbalah, he
was brought up in the area were Kabbalah was everywere. Even the
teachings based on light and darkness, are very kabbalistic. So onward
I go, and willing to learn.
