Many get into the false presumption that written Torah is all there is
to our faith. That is quite incorrect. It has to be understood that
the written words of Torah is only the outer shell of a treasure
trove. There is wisdom behind Torah that escapes the ability to be
written down.

Like a satire. There are written words of the story, but there is a
message beyond those words. There is wisdom contained within Torah.

Like us. We are more than simply flesh and bones. We are more than
what is seen. So too Torah is more than what can be read.

In Deuteronomy 4:6 we read that the nations will say what a wise and
understanding people Israel is because of Torah. However if one reads
it in context it is quickly seen that the wisdom is derived from Torah
not the words of Torah.

The Wisdom is beyond the words!

If we only went by the written Torah, how would we know anything about
Messiah? What about the after life? How would we know how to keep
Shabbat Holy? The written is great, but only gives you on plate at the
dinner table, give me a four coarse meal anytime, I want everything
HaShem has for me. Like extra biblical books, if they can help me draw
closer to the written word, whats the problem?
