There are 3 Torahs within Judaism. The Written Torah is contained
within the first 5 books of our Bibles. The next is Mishnah Torah and
the final is called Talmud Torah. Talmud Torah is a body of works
that attempts to give a better understanding of the Mishnah and
Written Torahs.

The Mishnah, in particular, is misunderstood by many. Back in the
days when the Mishnah was not written down it was transmitted orally.
The intent was not to focus what is said but rather understand the
wisdom behind the words.

This is why the Mishnah contains discussion between opposing sides
with many of them being open ended without a conclusion. The opposing
sides gave boundaries to the thinking process. A conclusion was not
necessarily desired rather the shaping of the thinking process was.

The Mishnah's was to teach the principals of applying Written Torah.
The Written Torah is not a code of law. The code of law has to be
derived. The question is how?

Mishnah teaches us the how through wisdom and understanding. Not by
words.
