How do I get M4 genital textures onto the Genesis 1 male genitalia figure? I've searched and found a remapping but it wont work because the base geometry file is not the Genesis 1 male genitalia file. I dont know enough about Studio to be able to make the transfer myself. Lost and could use some pointers in the right direction.

6 For Genesis 2 Male Genitalia

Which one did you find? CauriB has a Male Genitalia Improved figure that she did for original flavor Genesis. You need to have the Genesis Male Genitalia figure that shipped with the M5 Pro Bundle to make it work -- I think the figure has been updated so that it keys on the most recent version of the GenesisMaleGenitalia.dsf file to work (depending on when Genesis was last updated -- if the genitalia was updated after late 2012, then you may have issues there. You'd need to contact her to be certain. Regardless, if you don't have the M5 Pro Bundle, you can't unlock the files inside the zip with RTEncoder.

And all THAT said ... if you don't have the M5 Pro Bundle and so can't use CauriB's remap, you can always just parent the original M4 genitalia, Channing Gens, or Ulfgens to the Genesis/Genesis 2 pelvis, which works as well as it did with M4. All of those options can take M4 textures, and Ulfgens is actually free (if very very large). M4 genitalia is in the M4 Pro Bundle or Hero Pack; Channing Gens is in the PoserAddicts shop (I think), and Ulfgens is a freebie at maleposerotica.

I also forgot all about the MalePoserErotica website until I read this thread. I downloaded some of the freebies. There was one called ulf_UG2_RemappedM4 where you have to go through the same routine with different files. it says you will need the ulfgens2.obj found at maleposerotica. But when I go to find that object, in the Runtime/Geometries/Ulfgens folder, the file there is called mgenitals2. I used it to decode the RTE file that was in the zip. It said it ws successful. But maybe the program doesn't care as long as you plug in an obj file. The original obj was 939 KB and the one generated was 506 KB. The instructions didn't say what to call the new object file so I called it Ulfgens M4.obj. But then I realized there was no way to load the new object. I first just tried just importing it, but it was just a prop. So then I made a copy of the Cr2 and used Cr2Editor to edit the two references to the new obj. However, when I double click on the icon for new Cr2 I created, you can't see anything. Just the select box around an invisble object. It has morphs and everything. Not sure if I'm looking in the right place, but it seems like visibility was turned on. So what am I missing? Or am I doing something wrong? Or maybe I just don't have the obj, but mgenitals2.obj was the only obj in the maleposerotica_ULFGens2.zip file. At first my conclusion was that my obj file didn't contain an obj. It is almost half as the size of the original. But then I remember when I imported it, that I saw the object then. It just lacked morphs and bones and such.

- Male and female Daz genitals necessitate textures as the mesh UVs are a separate and specific UDIM (torso, legs, arms, face, etc... and genitals). Textures are available in Pro Daz Bundles. Some other content creators on the Daz Store sometimes provide extra textures with their male or female morphs.

Both those bundles provide excellent results out of the box. And they can be completed by a long list of uselful add-ons by Zev0 and other content creators. New Gens For Victoria 8 provides a script that will auto-texture female genitals so that their color blends perfectly with the rest of the torso, for absolutely any Genesis 8/8.1 female. XY and XY HDM have also their own UDIM UV. Some texures are provided to mix and match the color until it blends properly with the torso.

The actual models of the (DAZ) genitals can not be bought, but they can be received as a bonus item on some non-toon adult bundles, look for "Genesis 8 Female Anatomical Elements" and "Genesis 8 Male Anatomical Elements" under "What's Included and Features" on the product page.

Victoria 8.1 Loving Life bundle looks like a good choice, as it includes both make and female anatomical elements (at least as described on the product page). Other 8.1 bundles (like the Bonnie 8.1 Roaring Twenties Bundle) also include the anatomical elements.

A substantial amount of figures that you buy in the DS shop have no anatomical elements*; you can still give them the actual genitalia from the central Anatomy section; you can subsequently try (the skin material) from the anatomical elements of a different figure but you'll find that almost always there is an annoying color difference. The easiest (but radical) solution for this is to apply the Materials --> (skin) MAT from a figure like Michael 8 (that has the anatomical elements) on the (gender corresponding) figure that has no anatomical elements, then follow up by adding the actual genitalia from the central Anatomy section and then applying the Michael 8 anatomical elements to the newly formed "Genesis 8 Male Genitalia" node. With this simple workaround you can give any ('human') Gen8 figure genitalia.
* whereas some signature figures have both Male Anatomical Elements and Female Anatomical Elements like the wonderful Catty.

As for the shape and other attributes of genitalia, the DAZ shop has some products that provide a few sliders for that, like zev0 "Shape Shift". A website like Renderotica has stuff that either works with the official DS anatomical elements/anatomy (but you still would have to have a Pro bundle [see above] and a figure with a.e.) and it also has products that provide 'exotic' proprietary solutions (often no DAZ Pro bundle required). In my experience the official DS stuff, enhanced with a couple of sliders will suit most purposes. Quite a few Renderotica products turn out to be a waste of money, esp. color options are often woefully inadequate.

On applying the "Genesis 8 Male Genitalia" from the central Smart Content "Anatomy" section on the Catty figure, the (sometimes 'dreaded') "Auto-Fit" popup appears asking you "What figure was the item originally designed for?". It's obvious that according the system Catty is a female figure. Within the autofit dialog you (basically have to) choose "Genesis 8 Male" which results in the figure getting the "Genesis 8 Male Genitalia" node (so far so good) that you apply one of two "Male Gens" materials to from the Catty figure. However, the end result does not quite look like the usual "Genesis 8 Male Genitalia" (let's say it is anatomically odd) and like I said the usual parameter/morph sliders won't work (apart from one or two exceptions) on those male genitalia. Products like "Transgender Shapes for Genesis 8" and "Genesis 8 UV Swap: Male and Female Base" don't seem to have any impact on this particular problem.

Thx. Nishi comes with 8 and 8.1 figure, so I was expecting that "Genesis 8 Male Genitalia" would work on her 8 figure (it didn't), but I now realize that this feature only works in the 8.1 realm on 8.1 figures having dual anatomical elements. I kind of had forgotten about the specific Genesis 8.1 Female Genitalia for Male and Genesis 8.1 Male Genitalia for Female.

Alternatively, you can use one of the M4/M3 Poser-CR2-type genitalia sets and parent them to your figure's pelvis. Depending on what sort of body hair you have for it, that will take care of needing to blend the hip texture. There's a couple freebies called Hirogens and Ulfgens (the latter may need some downward scaling to appear realistic) that should still be available.

Please help! Any advise please on genitalia for Genesis 8 male (or any other genesis male). I just purchased Leading Male Morph Collection for Genesis 8 Male(s) but i think it's another dead end? I'm going in circles. Cannot locate male anatomy. Happy to purchase the right bundle.

This activity reviews 5-alpha-reductase deficiency, an important cause of ambiguous genitalia in children. Initially, the phenotype of children with 5-alpha-reductase deficiency can vary from underdeveloped male genitalia to fully developed female genitalia. This phenotype may change during puberty, at which point male secondary sex characteristics may develop. This activity will assist practitioners in recognizing when to consider this diagnosis and how to manage it. This activity highlights the critical role of the interprofessional care team in caring for patients with 5-alpha-reductase deficiency.

Objectives:

Review the roles of testosterone versus dihydrotestosterone in both male fetal development and puberty.Describe some of the gender identity struggles that children with 5-alpha-reductase deficiency may face when they reach puberty.Identify the testing that should be done if 5-alpha-reductase deficiency is suspected, and identify whether additional testing is useful.Explain how interprofessional team members can collaborate to provide optimal counseling to patients with 5-alpha-reductase deficiency and their families.
Access free multiple choice questions on this topic.

Ambiguous genitalia is a very rare problem encountered in newborns, with the prevalence of 1 in 4500 live births. Even with the recent advances in the technology like genetic workup, an assay of hormones, karyotyping, only 20 to 40% of the time can the diagnosis be made in these children.[1] 5 alpha-reductase type 2 (5alpha-RD2) deficiency is one of the important causes of ambiguous genitalia in children. The phenotype of children with 5α-RD2 deficiency can vary from under-developed male genitalia to a complete female phenotype.[2]
