Hi there,

I use sonospy and it works great. Thank you for that great tool. I’ve got one question though: is there a way to index the library in order to browse it like the folder hierarchy is organized? would be great, but if there’s a way i couldt figure it out...Thanks and greetings!

Hi,

I wrote some trial code to allow that, but never added it into the
codebase as only one user trialled it - do you fancy trying it out to
see if it gives you what you want? If so, have a read of this thread
from the third mail down (read all of the rest as there were a few
tweaks) - https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/sonospy-devel/9NvjWJjRiwA

If it doesn't make sense let me know and I'll simplify it.

Mark.

Hi Mark,

I tried what you described in the precedent posts. It worked like a charm!!!
I am on Mac OS X.

I used the new files.py, updated with the new mediaserver.py file and restarted it all after changing defaultindex.ini and with alternative indexing on Y. It worked on the first try. I am soooo happy my original folder hierarchy has been preserved, still using the power of sonospy and indexing albums and so on. I don't know how to express my gratitude. Your work is absolutely great!!

Thanks again,

Matthias

P.s.: If you need someone for testing this stuff, just let me know :)
