Hi,

Hopefully Mark is still here somewhere, or maybe some else can help me.
I have the sonospy installed for some year now, and working pretty good.
But suddenly, for some reason, it disappeared from the server list ??
When I look at the Available services from within Sonos, I only see one of the 2 that are configured in my 'sonospy_start' list:

./sonospy_proxy -sSonospy=flac,flac.db,userindex_flac.ini -sSonospy=mp3,mp3.db,userindex_mp3.ini -r

I only find the mp3 database and it is working, but the flac is not showing.

I looked at the error logs and nothing special is showing, from the last scans.

Does anyone has any ideas ?

Thanks,

Jan

Just found something else, looking at the pycpoint.log. Since the flac db was so big, and for debugging, I restarted another database with just one directory 'Boston.db', in this case, I tried also the -w switch instead of the -s... thinking that this could be the problem. Still no success... But foobar2000 is seen by Sonos as a Service. I think that once again, for some reason an update from Sonos as 'broken' something :-(

Anyway, this is the log from pycpoint, hope that someone will be able to help:

Jan, coming here belatedly to note that on Sonos v10.6.2, I'm running 2 sources - a mix of flac and mp3 - with no trouble with the following line:

./sonospy_proxy  -sSonospy=Classical,Classical2.db,userindex_Classical.ini -sSonospy=Nonclassical,Nonclassical.db,userindex_Nonclassical.ini -r -mmediaserver -mproxy

I hope you've managed to fix your setup or it has fixed itself. I'm just about to start a roll call so we can all note whether Sonos system updates create problems or not; maybe you could chime in?

Cheers, Martin

Hi

I am running sonos version 11.1 and was having  similar problem.  I have 3 DB and using the -w flag was losing two of them after a short while.  It would always keep one of the db's showing.  I tried opening 2 (one with -s and one -w and both are showing up and are able to play music. All files are MP3

./sonospy_proxy -wSonospy=Hoods_Music,HoodsMusic.db -sSonospy=Hoods_Classical,ClassicalMusic.db -r
