The Santa Rosa City Council has long been known as a do nothing outfit. Equally so they do not tolerate avenues of dialogue and are unaccountable to no one since no eligible voter pays that much attention to local elections.
Furthermore I can tell you that the city of Santa Rosa misappropriated 1.5 million dollars to build the Sam Jones homeless shelter, which is nothing more than a homeless fraternity house that encourages illicit drug trafficking. The original homeless shelter was the National Guard armory which had an occupancy for 300 people twice that of the Sam Jones shelter. Furthermore the national guard armory did not cost the tax payers a single dime.
Former Mayor Jane Bender and that city council bear full responsibility for this malfeasance and embezzlement of the public treasury. It was former mayor Jane Bender who moved Public comment on Tuesday's at 4 pm to 8 pm at night; with the itinerary that forces the public to sit through 4 hours of rezoning bullshit before one can address the council. They also stop airing live cameras of public comment as well only resuming live cameras before and after public comment.
The Santa Rosa city council has not come up with one meaningful piece of legislation in its history. All Santa rosa is is just a banana republic satellite of the Bohemian grove, in Monte Rio, a rich man's pederasty palace of boundless exploitation of the mindless masses of the county of sonoma.
