Please help identify Land Managers you know of for this effort to give the
folks at East Bay Regional Parks District (EBPRD) near San Francisco some
examples of the great areas we like to ride. I am inviting some of you from
outside the Bay Area as you may have more info on progressive land managers
that can help the EBPRD break out of the situation they are in. We can't
have too much good information.

Here is the letter from Brent at Bicycle Trail Council of the East Bay (also
on Facebook):

The other day we were meeting with EBRPD and talking about different
management approaches for parks that permit mountain bikes.

We were asked by Julie Bondurant, Senior Park Planner at EBRPD on Pleasanton
Ridge, for a list she could give the Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park managers
of "real life examples of mountain bike parks and management strategies":

. Parks with different management practices - these can be local or distant
- single track, fire road, downhill, etc. or a combination

. Manager contact information for the staff who operate these parks, if
known

. Bike group contact information for groups that use these parks (e.g.,
youth groups, competitive riders, recreation riders, seniors, women's groups
- the wider the variety the better)

We have started a list at
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=p2PAUhPn3S_XD1lUDBgieMA.

Please take a few minutes in fill in as much information as you can. (Feel
free to add to existing data.)

Thanks for your help!
