Wemos d1 mini, with tasmota sensors bin, connected to MCP23017 expander board.
I'm trying to make this work on the breadboard. I2Cscan finds the device at 0x20, but sensor29 0,2,0 does not work, it just returns "Command":"Error". As I understand it, only outputs are not supported in the sensors bin, is this not correct?

Have you read this page>

MCP23008 / MCP23017 GPIO Expander - Tasmota

I’m pretty sure you need to compile your own bin as it’s not included in sensors according to this list
