Hi

I consider getting a iTead Sonoff Pow with Energy Monitoring and flash it with the firmware from https://github.com/arendst/Sonoff-Tasmota ....

But I have a requirement for reading the power consumption as watt-hours. It should be an increasing counter, which of course can be reset if required...

Will the device/firmware support this - or will I have to look for another solution?

Thanks in advance

/B

Phil

From that page, it looks like the "Period" not is reported by the command "Status 8" - which would be the most optimal for my intended purpose...

I also use a sonoff_pow, in my case I am monitoring the power output of a solar panel array. I have a node-red flow to display the required info, including the total power supplied by the panels in KWh since the last reset...but the problem is how to perform a reset!  I have tried EnergyReset3 = 0.000 as per https://github.com/arendst/Sonoff-Tasmota/wiki/Commands but it does not seem reset the total

If this can be made to work I think it is also what bipsen is wanting....

what am I doing wrong?

Bipsen: Period is the power in Wh between messages (which is set by TelePeriod) so you would have to add up all the 'Periods' to give you what you want whereas 'Total' already gives you what you want... we just need to find out how to reset the Total on command!
