ESP32U WROOM cant get it to do anything

I have two versions of these. one version is 32U and one is 32UE. I cant flash any of them.  I have tried tasmota32, tasmota32lite, 32solo1 and nothing works.  They dont work with tazmotizer so i am using the web installer.  It says it has flashed successfully but i dont get a tasmota network to sign on to.  When i connect them to the computer with the USB port they are not recognized and i know my serial adapter is working because i can flash an esp8266 and it works fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using a USB to microU|SB or a flasher.They can be very picky on power supply - will flash but not enough power to operate the wifi from a serial flasher

The ESP32u has a micro USB on it.  The ESP32UE has a USB-C.  I have tried powering both of them with the serial converter as well as with a connection directly in to the USP port on the board.  Nothing changes

I've just flashed an old one of mine with TasmotaBluetooth32.bin and it worked (was getting the manifest error so it took a while)

Still not working.  I have tried virtually every binary i can, i have tried several different USB configurations, 3 different serial adapters 2 macs and one windows machine.  Everytime it says it has flashed successfully and each time it produces no wifi network.  I have done all of this several times with both the 32U and the 32UE.

Extremely frustrating as well as time consuming.
