Hello,

I've just flashed an R2 RF Bridge with Tasmota 6.1.1, and it is definitely receiving RF codes. I have been able to learn new codes, as well as see button presses of RF remotes in the console. However, it doesn't seem to be sending any codes.

I have set one of the buttons to learn a code from a remote that controls a set of outlets. After learning the code, and issuing the rfkey command, i get a flash of the red led, but nothing happens on the outlet. The outlet is about 3 feet away from the bridge.

Here are the commands I have issued, and the response from the console:

17:23:02 CMD: rfkey5 2
17:23:02 MQT: stat/rfbridge/RESULT = {"RfKey5":"Start learning"}
17:23:05 MQT: stat/rfbridge/RESULT = {"RfKey5":"Learned"}
17:23:06 MQT: tele/rfbridge/RESULT = {"RfReceived":{"Sync":9530,"Low":310,"High":870,"Data":"942105","RfKey":5}}
17:23:12 CMD: rfkey5 5
17:23:12 MQT: stat/rfbridge/RESULT = {"RfKey5":{"Sync":9520,"Low":310,"High":870,"Data":"942105"}}
17:23:16 CMD: rfkey5
17:23:16 MQT: stat/rfbridge/RESULT = {"RfKey5":"Learned sent"}

I have not modified the firmware of the rfchip. Is that necessary for Tasmota to send rf codes? I previously had ESPurna flashed on this device, but switched for personal preference. ESPurna didn't have any trouble with sending commands.

Thanks in advance!

Don’t have one of those devices but I seem to remember from other posts that you have to flash the RF section with Portisch(?) firmware.

Details are in the wiki.

Hi Mike,

You don't need to flash Portisch.  Portisch, I believe makes the RF Bridge widen it's scope to receiving 433MHZ signals.

If you're receiving the code then you need to send it onto your device.  I can only speak from a node red point of view, but basically I would put a set of rules together to say, when the RF Bridge does this send {"Sync":9530,"Low":310,"High":870,"Data":"942105","RfKey":5} to device x.  Presumably device x will do what you want based on the data.  You may need to record or capture the data several times until you have the correct parametres to make the recipient device do what you want it to.  The RF Bridge with Tasmota is a bit hit and miss, hence Portisch.

Hope that helps

Glenn
