Hi there,

I have tried to flash Dual R2 without success. It seems that I had some issues with the TX/RX cables, and the transference of the firmware does not start. I always get an error of communication.

The thing is that after several tries, I do not see any progress. I have tried to conect the sonoff to the Power AC and even does not power up, do not react. It seems like a brick. I am not able to recover the device.

Do you have any clue about how to recover the device? some workaround or T/S that I do not know? I do not think that the device is dead. I have conect it to 3.3V.. I do not think that is damage, but I cannot recover it.

(I have over 15 devices all of them flashed properly and also updated via OTA)

Thank you.

They are pretty robust and difficult to totally destroy.
Did you read this first https://github.com/arendst/Sonoff-Tasmota/wiki/Sonoff-Dual-and-Dual-R2
The flash procedure is slightly different.
Flash a standard bin first and try to get it up and running that way before trying anything else.

Yes,

I followed that procedure for my other Sonoff Dual R2, and they are working fine. But this one, it is strange, no life!

I do not know how to recover it. But I ahve the feeling that is not damage, but I do not know how to recover the device. I have to try to swap the TX/RX cables and flash. Some people did that on sonoff basic when they got them bricked and it worked. I do not know if here for Dual R2 is a good idea, or maybe there is other way.

Is there any flash from the LED when you power up?
I've sometimes managed to get one to talk to me using ESPlorer and tinkering the baud rates.
What are you using to flash?

No led reaction when I power up with 220VAC or with low votage from the USB. Nothing. At the very beginning there was some led blink but after getting some error of communication during flashing, I do not get any led blink.

I use ArduinoIDE 1.8.7 to flash the firmware and FTDI FT232RL USB to TTL Serial Adapter. Yesterday I flashed a sonoff basic which was bricked during OTA firmware, and I recovered it flashing by cable with Arudino and worked fine (even I bricked twice sonoff basic, first time with no led-blinking, second time with led-blinking, so I deceided not to update anymore this device)....  But with this sonoff dual R2 no life.

I would try a standard sonoff.bin with ESPFlasher because you’re then talking direct to the device. Remember to only use DOUT

It may also be worthwhile holding the button for 40 seconds to try to reset that way.

Thanks. I will try this evening with ESPFlasher... we will see. thanks.

You mean to hold the button 40 seconds when I power up with 220VAC or during Flash mode with 3.3V?
