Flashing an ESP02S

Dear hive mind

I have an ESP02S in a MoesGo wifi dimmer that has recently needed reflashing.  

Duly done and working ok except that I cannot set the module to 54 without the device resetting itself back to factory default.  I’ve tried reset 5 first to no avail. 

Any thoughts?

I would probably just leave it as 'Generic' and set GPIO1 to Tuya Tx and GPIO3 to Tuya Rx
