Hi,

I'm running Tasmota;
  • Program Version 6.5.0(release-sonoff)
  • Build Date & Time 2019-03-19T12:24:10
  • Core/SDK Version 2_3_0/1.5.3(aec24ac9)
I've flashed it onto a Sonoff TH10 with the external temperature and humidity sensor. The board is marked as being version 2.0

Everything works as expected when connected to 3.3v. However, when I connect it to mains (240v 50Hz) the device either works for a short time only or not at all.

I've triple checked the mains wiring and reflashed the device. I've tried several different TH10 packages (all Ver 2.0) all with the same sort of results.

I've read elsewhere that there was a difference in the hardware between ver 1 and 2. A capacitor was not present in version 2. One user reported that adding it fixed the issue and other said that it did not.

I've got 5 of these version 2.0 sonoffs and they all behave the same way (not switching on mains and not connecting to wifi).

I've also tried ESPEasy with the same results.

Is this only an isolated issue? Have others gotten them to work reliably and how did you do it?

Is this issue present in other later versions of Sonoff TH10? What is the current latest version? I've seen a version 2.1 on youtube.

I've ordered some new TH10's from Sonoff and am hoping that they will be a later hardware version that's been "Fixed".

Any advice or info on this would be appreciated.

Thanks

Shane

Have you tried erasing the flash and doing it again?

When I switched from espeasy to tasmota I'm pretty sure the rom was erased then but I will try again just to make sure.

If you have MQTT enabled do you have a broker configured? If no broker ensure MQTT is not enabled.
Electrically, if it works on 3.3V it will work on mains so it's something in the config. It doesn't know where the power is coming from.
