can i use Tasmota with ifttt and Maker?

hi ive been trying to get my 4 channel sonoff to work with ifttt.com and maker... i can access the web interface from outside my network so i thought all i would need to do in Maker would be adding the appropriate address to toggle a switch but that doesnt seem to be the case... has anyone tried this bofor or have any idea how i can do this

Two things.

First, if you've connected your Sonoff to the Internet, you need to think about security. Otherwise you are totally open to some external bot network doing random things to your switch.

Secondly, if I remember rightly, the Maker channel is about events - I don't think the Sonof itself will do this. Rather you should use an intermediary such as Node-RED which does work really well and can trigger Maker events from MQTT very easily.

Ray, did you ever get it to work? I too would like to get ifttt working with my sonoff but can't seem to find anyone who is talking about what they did.

This would be great!!! There are endless possibilities with IFTTT.

Data passing in both directions would allow for confirmation in IFTT of a correct operation within the Sonoff-Tasmota software.
